Steel Cut Oats are made by cutting the oat kernel into 2-3 pieces. Steel Cut Oats take longer to cook (10-15 mins) and make a chunky, nutty tasting porridge. Regular White Oats are flaked, faster to cook (2-5 mins) and make a finer, smoother porridge.
Oats is a gluten free grain however the oats we buy are handled and transported in bulk by our suppliers. Cross-contact can occur if the oats are grown in fields or transported in vehicles that once contained other grains such wheat and traces of gluten may be found in the product. Moreover, our facilities which process oats also handle wheat; hence we do not label our products as gluten free.
We recommend that Bagrry’s Oats be stored in a cool, dry & odour free place. Once opened, it is important to store contents in a well-sealed container to eliminate the risk of infestation and to retain freshness
