Muesli-Stuffed Baked Apples

Muesli-Stuffed Baked Apples

35 minutes

  • 1 cup Bagrry’s Fruit & Nut Muesli
  • 4 large apples
  • 1/4 cup honey or maple syrup
  • 1/4 cup melted butter (unsalted butter, if desired) or coconut oil
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup raisins or dried cranberries (optional)
  • Yogurt or ice cream for serving (optional)

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Wash and core the apples, leaving the bottom intact to create a cavity for the stuffing.
  • If necessary, trim a thin slice off the bottom of each apple to help them stand upright.
  • In a medium bowl, combine the Bagrry’s Fruit & Nut Muesli, honey or maple syrup, melted butter or coconut oil, cinnamon, and raisins or dried cranberries if using.
  • Mix well to ensure the muesli is evenly coated.
  • Spoon the muesli mixture into the cavities of each apple, packing it in tightly.
  • Place the stuffed apples in a baking dish.
  • Cover the dish with aluminum foil to prevent the tops from burning.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the apples are tender when pierced with a fork.
  • Remove the baked apples from the oven and let them cool slightly.
  • Serve warm, optionally topped with a dollop of yogurt or a scoop of ice cream.
