Ingredients
- 1/4 cup Bagrry’s rolled oats
- 1 banana, sliced
- 1/2 cup fresh or frozen blueberries
- 1 cup milk (dairy or non-dairy, such as almond, soy, or oat milk)
- 1/2 cup Greek yogurt (optional, for added creaminess and protein)
- 1 tablespoon Chia Seeds or Pumpkin Seeds (optional, for added omega-3 fatty acids and fibre)
- 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup (optional, for sweetness)
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract (optional, for flavour)
- A handful of ice cubes (optional, for a chilled smoothie)
Recipe
- Gather all your ingredients. If you're using fresh blueberries, rinse them thoroughly. Slice the banana for easier blending.
- In a blender, combine the banana slices, blueberries, Bagrry’s rolled oats, milk, Greek yogurt (if using), chia seeds (if using), honey or maple syrup (if using), and vanilla extract (if using).
- Add a handful of ice cubes if you prefer a chilled smoothie.
- Blend on high until the mixture is smooth and creamy. If the smoothie is too thick, add a little more milk until you reach your desired consistency.
- Pour the smoothie into two glasses.
- If desired, garnish with a few extra blueberries, a sprinkle of oats, pumpkin seeds, banana slices or a drizzle of honey.
